Picked up the Westfalia today...ran great.....temps in 90's. Predicted to be 99 tomorrow (yikes!!!)
Going to go back roads to Flagstaff, Az tomorrow *(Avoid as much Calif traffic as possible)..
Haven't lost too much time from our original plan. We will have to skip some attractions to get back schedule.
Cesar and Daniel at California Westys are kind and caring people. The time and effort they put in to get us going again was herculean,,,,above and beyond. If anyone ever wants to get a Westfalia vanagon....... you can not do better than these guys.
We are sorry to leave Sharon & Jack, they should open as a bed-n-breakfast........what a good time.
Geo....Humphrie's Peak. About 15 miles north of Flaggstaff. Sole mountain in area - but over 14,000. If you have time, scope it out. It's unique...

DeleteIt is unique..it is the remnant of an ancient volcano that blew its' top.
We did that already....in 1999...
